First generation and/or low-income students at Pomona College form one of the largest student groups on campus: FLI Scholars.
For a decade, Pomona College has partnered with QuestBridge, an organization that matches high-achieving, low-income high school students with top-tier colleges and universities across the country. This partnership has not only increased the number of first-generation and low-income students on campus, but it also provides ongoing support to this growing community.
The chapter includes both QuestBridge Scholars, as well as any and all students who identify as first-generation and/or low-income. The chapter offers peer mentoring, social events, workshops and support for its members.
FLI Scholars are a diverse group, hailing from various parts of the country, representing all 48 majors, participating in various clubs and organizations, sports and events.
