Data governance is the discipline of developing and managing data resources, with the aim of facilitating good use of high quality information in support of the Pomona College mission. The Data Governance Committee (DGC) was convened in Fall 2015 to coordinate and oversee a formal program of data governance, which entails developing common policies, standards, practices and procedures to enable data-rich decision-making and ensure that institutional data are managed legally, ethically and strategically in support of College goals and priorities.
