Hello Sagehens!
We are less than a month away from our first members of the Class of 2028 and Fall transfers arriving on campus. We are excitedly finalizing the orientation schedule and getting ready to have you join us on campus.
But we still have a few things to do:
· Let’s work together to build a culture of respect, equity and empowerment on campus. As an agreement of our shared values, the Title IX & Campus Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support (CARES) Office wants to ensure all students complete the online Sexual Assault Prevention Training for Undergraduates by August 2. Log in to this required training: http://bit.ly/Vector2028. For more information and available resources, visit the “Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates” page or contact cares@bonaprinting.com.
· You will receive an email invitation at your Pomona email from Vector LMS, to start AlcoholEdu for College. AlcoholEdu is part of Pomona College’s comprehensive approach to alcohol education. This program helps you to consider how you would approach situations involving alcohol, and other drugs, on campus. Our goal is to ensure that all Pomona students have a positive and safe educational and social experience. This training is required and must be completed before August 16. Access the training here. If you have questions about this required training, please contact Jasa Cocke (jasa.cocke@bonaprinting.com), the College’s Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
· Finally, learn more about Claremont, your home for the next few years. A city 35 miles east of Los Angeles, Claremont offers many options for entertainment, dining and events.
And sneaking in a fourth thing:
· The Orientation Adventure preference form deadline has been extended until Thursday, July 11, at midnight PDT.
As always, you can check your To Do list or the Three Things Archive if you need to finish items.
Respectfully,
Josh Eisenberg, dean of campus life
