Continuity: Cahuilla Basket Weavers and their Legacies

This catalogue accompanies the exhibition Continuity: Cahuilla Basket Weavers and their Legacies. The book features over 50 baskets currently housed at the Benton and analyzes the institutional history of the museum. The book includes written contributions from exhibition curator Meranda Roberts (Yerington Paiute and Chicana), Wendy Cheng, Emily Clarke (Cahuilla), and Rose Ann Hamilton (Cahuilla). Artworks were contributed by Weshoyot Alvitre (Tongva), Gerald Clarke Jr. (Cahuilla), and Cara Romero (Chemehuevi).
